Top Anglers and Cabo Magic are both family-founded charter companies in Cabo San Lucas. Top Anglers was founded by the Vargas family in 2004; Cabo Magic by Tommy and Lori Garcia, officially established in 1999.
Both now cover a wide range. Top Anglers runs from $468 for a half day on an inshore panga to $4,517 for a full day on our 60-foot Hatteras. Cabo Magic lists cruisers from $450 for a half day on a 24-foot boat up to $9,000 for a full day on a 92-foot yacht with two chefs.

Company background
Top Anglers
Top Anglers was founded in 2004 by Captain Victor Vargas at Marina Principal in Cabo San Lucas. Today the Vargas family runs a fleet of 20 boats from 23 to 60 feet, working with a hand-picked group of local captains and boat owners. Victor Jr runs operations, Max handles strategy and guest relations, and Andy runs administration.
Every booking goes through the family: online on our booking page, or by WhatsApp, phone or email. There is no booking platform, no call center and no booking fee, and the price you see includes captain, crew, tackle, bait, one fishing license, dock fees and taxes.
Cabo Magic
Cabo Magic was officially established in 1999 by Tommy and Lori Garcia; Tommy first came to Cabo to fish in the mid-1970s (FAQ). They list 9 cruisers from 24 to 33 feet (cruisers) and 18 sportfishers and yachts from 35 to 92 feet (sportfishers and yachts). Their homepage says every charter includes fishing licenses, live bait, tackle, food and cold drinks.

- 35' Cabo Express and Sedan: $1,500 half day, $1,700 full day
- 60' sportfishers: $5,000 to $7,000 for a full day
- 70' yacht: $7,000 full day, with a chef and four Seakeeper stabilizers, up to 10 guests for fishing (boat page)
- 92' yacht: $9,000 full day for up to 12 guests, or $4,500 for a 3-hour cruise; two chefs, up to 18 guests aboard (boat page)

One real difference: Cabo Magic includes food and drinks in the price; Top Anglers includes ice and water, but food and drinks are not in the price. Top Anglers includes taxes and dock fees; Cabo Magic does not say on its site whether taxes are included, so ask.
