Los Cabos Fishing Report November 3 – November 25, 2025

November has delivered textbook-perfect fishing across Los Cabos. Clean water, steady temperature, abundant bait, and predictable currents brought in excellent numbers of striped marlin, blue marlin, wahoo, dorado, tuna, and a handful of Pacific sailfish.

But more importantly, this month reminded us why we do what we do: the loyalty of returning anglers, the excitement of newcomers, and the powerful connection between families and the ocean.

This is one of those rare stretches where the fishing is great, but the stories are even better.

Striped Marlin

The striped marlin bite continued strong around the Golden Gate and the 95 Spot. Tailers, feeders, surface swimmers—classic Cabo behavior, giving anglers multiple opportunities for clean releases.

Blue Marlin

Not massive numbers, but excellent quality. Several boats encountered blues in the 200–350 lb class, including some long, memorable battles.

Yellowfin Tuna

Tuna fishing out of San José del Cabo has been fast, consistent, and incredibly fun, especially around Iman and San Luis. Smaller baits and jigs have been producing nonstop action.

Wahoo

High-speed lures and sharp structure edges remain the recipe. Multiple quality wahoo hit the decks this month.

Dorado

Steady fishing, lots of color, plenty of fillets going home with guests. Great family-friendly species and a reliable constant throughout November.

Pacific Sailfish

A rare treat but several showed up—and put on spectacular aerial shows.

STORIES THAT MADE NOVEMBER SPECIAL

1. Blake & Stan — A Step-Father, a Son, and a Cabo Tradition That Will Never Break

Some anglers arrive as clients…

Some return as friends…

But Blake and his step-father Stan?

They’re part of the Top Anglers family.

Blake has a tradition that everybody in our marina knows:

He walks straight to our dispatch point—no call, no warning, no appointment. Every year he appears with a smile and his classic greeting:

“I’m here. Let’s fish.”

Last year, Blake battled a massive blue marlin in one of the toughest fights we saw all season.

This year, he wanted tuna—and he wanted Stan and Max with him.

So they launched from Marina Puerto Los Cabos with Captain Gonzalo Castillo, fresh from his outstanding performance representing Mexico at the Big Game World Championship in France and now a certified Top Angler.

Castillo did what Castillo does:

He put them on the tuna instantly.

What followed was one of the most action-packed days of the entire month—screaming drags, fast hookups, triple excitement, and the perfect example of what fatherhood, mentorship, and friendship look like on the water.

2. Mario Bibo — The New Angler Who’s Becoming a Legend

Two years ago, Mario wasn’t a fisherman.

Today, thanks to his best friend Max, he’s catching fish most anglers dream about for decades.

This month, Mario added a big Pacific sailfish to his growing list of bucket-list catches.

The fight had everything:

• Long screaming runs

• Wild jumps

• A clean release

• A smile only someone who gets it can understand

He’s living proof that once fishing grabs your heart, it never lets go

3. The Fathers & Their Children — Lessons Only the Ocean Can Teach

One of the most meaningful trips this month came from a group of fathers who brought their children—to share memories, teach values, and experience something unforgettable together.

There is something powerful about seeing fathers guide their kids on the ocean:

• teaching them patience

• showing them teamwork

• helping them handle a rod for the first time

• teaching them to respect the sea

• reminding them to listen, learn, and stay present

Then came the moment they’ll talk about for years:

a big marlin showed up.

The kids watched their fathers take control of the chaos—coaching, adjusting lines, setting the right pressure, turning a wild moment into a life lesson.

By the end of the day, the children weren’t just passengers—

they were young anglers who had discovered something new about themselves.

Trips like this remind us that fishing is not just a sport.

It is a bridge between generations.

DECEMBER OUTLOOK — What’s Coming Next

Based on November’s pattern and ocean conditions, we expect:

Strong striped marlin numbers through early winter

Consistent tuna out of San José

Excellent dorado for family trips

Wahoo spikes during colder mornings

• A chance at sailfish when warm currents push in

December is one of the best months to fish Los Cabos, and dates fill fast.
